Concept
From an experimental project to an OECD Working Paper. The project began with the idea of creating a product to communicate the complexities of Behavioural Science in a more accessible, engaging, and visual manner. This idea was developed from an experimental project to a OECD Working Paper.
Context
The project "The Seven Routes" aimed to visually explain different methodologies in applied behavioral science, tailored to the specific factors of each project. This visual map, available as both a printable poster and digital presentation, guides users through the method selection process, saving time and energy while allowing them to proceed confidently.
Objective
At Affective Advisory we felt that the field of Behavioural Science is still quite abstract and theoretical, and that there is the need for a product that guides people in choosing the methodology that aligns best with their specific project needs and requirements.
My Role
My involvement in this project spanned from start to finish. Alongside my colleagues Judith and Torben, we brainstormed topics to help explain the company's needs. With Judith, I worked on researching experimental methods, defining the most relevant methods, and consolidating our research. I finalized the visual product in both printable poster format and digital presentation format.
Once the visual product was completed, in collaboration with ETH Zurich and the OECD, we created a working paper explaining the context and why this representation is innovative and useful for policymakers. After the working paper was published, I was responsible for creating and designing the website on Squarespace and producing all the micro-content to communicate the project.
Deliverables
- Development of "The Seven Routes" map in both poster format and digital presentation
- Creation of a user-friendly and concise overview of different experimental methods used in applied behavioural science
- Guidance tool for method selection process, designed to save time and energy for users
- Collaboration on a working paper with ETH Zurich and OECD explaining the context and innovation of this visual representation
- Creation and design of a Squarespace website and production of micro-content for project communication
